Major datacenter storage migration project to a newer platform

- Increases performance
- Affects RHN
Upgrade to Candlepin
- Enhances performance and stability
- Allows development for future technologies
- Affects RHSM

Duration: Approximately 12 hours

CUSTOMER IMPACT
Customers using _.redhat.com sites

Sites affected: access.redhat.com/management, subscription.rhsm.redhat.com, subscription.rhn.redhat.com, https://access.redhat.com/jbossnetwork/

During the planned outage window, users will experience a service interruption and the following actions will be impacted:

RHN Hosted
- Systems may not be able to register
- Systems already registered may not be able to update systems

RHSM Customer Portal
- Systems are still able to receive updates
- Systems may not be able to register against RHSM
- Customers may not be able to visit the RHSM Customer Portal
- Customers may not be able to activate subscriptions

Red Hat Satellite users will experience the following service interruptions:

If Satellite server is connected to RHN:
- Systems may not be able to register and systems already registered may not receive updates
- Satellite-sync (content sync) may not be available
- Customers may not be able to make RHN API calls

If Satellite server is connected to RHSM Customer Portal:
- Systems may not be able to register, and systems already registered may not receive updates
- Customers may not be able to visit the RHSM Customer Portal
- Customers may not be able to activate subscriptions
- Customers may not be able to refresh manifests from within Satellite
- Satellite-sync (content sync) may not be available
